My work and this platform is created to teach you about a healthy business mindset, embracing calculated risks, marketing and business strategies to guide you to creating a business and life you desire. I am passionate about Personal Branding and its importance as a building block in your entrepreneurial empire.

TAKING THE LEAP AND MANY MISTAKES LATER…

I didn’t have a smooth ride into entrepreneurship. My shift was everything but easy.

Throughout my career, I was very lucky to work with great people, amazing mentors and many projects that are out of this world. I started in the ranks of top advertising and PR agencies. That was an amazing rollercoaster ride!

After growing my way up the ladder, I moved to pursue a corporate career within top multinational companies, handling markets covering the Middle East and Africa.

I loved every second of it! But I was burnt out and yearning to create something of my own. I thought the best way to take that leap is to make a pivot in my career. So I chose to leap into the fashion industry, a very special passion of mine. I resigned my corporate job and went to fashion school to kick-start my journey into my new world.

The four years of creating and launching my own fashion label were one of the best experiences of my life. I created a business, learnt and experienced first-hand how to build a brand from conceptualization to creative to production to sales. My marketing and PR background was the backbone of it all, and served me well. During these four years, I was able to make my clothing line available in boutiques across 8 countries, 2 international on-line stores and managed my own online platform.

Technically, I was doing well. In reality, as much as I loved what I was doing, I hated what I was doing!

I soon realized that I was in the wrong business. I loved fashion, but not the process of making fashion. At the end of the forth year, I decided to step-back and assess my next steps.

An entrepreneur is always ready to re-invent themselves. This is what I did. I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur and now I know it!

RE-WORKING ON MY PERSONAL BRANDING AND GOING BACK TO MY MARKETING ROOTS, BUT ON MY OWN TERMS

I was always approached and contacted over and over again for consultancy jobs. I never rejected the opportunity. On the contrary, taking on marketing, communications, content and branding projects was an easy decision, and honestly, I looked forward to them… I missed working on personal branding, marketing or business projects.

Clients varied from corporate to individuals and influencers, and things in my working life simply fell into place. I had a consultancy business and built a beautiful portfolio. I worked with clients I wanted to work with. I knew I was on the right path.

I also worked closely with many start-up entrepreneurs, personal branding and content marketing projects with social influencers, and was part of building personal brands from the ground up.

I discovered that while I was building my entrepreneurial dream, I was helping others realize theirs.
