Time does not heal all wounds. Consciousness heals wounds.
Danielle LaPorte, Author, entrepreneur
My personal roller coaster ride started at a time of sporadic personal doubt, some unhealthy comparisons, wobbly goal standards, burnout from the corporate world, a pinch of denial and a lot of confusion.

So, the over thinker that I am, I got right to it and started the book marathon; I wanted to consume everything I can learn about self development, psychology of happiness. How can I translate that energy into building and taking control of my own economy?
But figuring it out started with this:
consciousness /ˈkɒnʃəsnɪs/ noun
- the state of being aware of and responsive to one’s surroundings.
- a person’s awareness or perception of something.
- the fact of awareness by the mind of itself and the world.
- the idea of holding two different concepts at the same time and seeing them clearly.
And it just made sense to me. To start the journey of growth, I have to be conscious and mindful. I have to be aware and present. It’s more than living the moment, filtering the vibes, going with my gut feeling, attracting the right energies, etc. It’s training that muscle deep inside to switch the button on our different senses when navigating in life professionally and personally. To see the details, to accept and understand even when we disagree, to live the moment in its true meaning, to make sense of our emotions and put the right name and adjective to them, to filter the noise and bring peace that can make sense of our journey, and most importantly to pass on that wisdom. This illuminates the way professionally and personally.
The journey doesn’t guarantee absolute happiness or success. How can we enjoy that without tasting their opposites? The real journey starts when you switch that auto-pilot button off. Look for the root. Understand it. From there on, it becomes a choice what to do about it and how to live with it, through it, above it. The important thing is that you understand it and now there is a choice.
And so the journey begins. Discovery. Confrontation. Acceptance. Challenge. Growth.
Open your mind and let the journey begin: Discovery, Confrontation, Acceptance, Challenge, Growth. Via @ranamouawad
